LIFE... POZO AND MORE

Oh my!!! My last post was on the 27th of November!!?? Is that right!? my God time flies!!

Well, finally I can talk again a bit about windsurfing (and Lily, of course!). This will be a very honest post.

Since I came back from Maui (I should have posted a bit about that, but anyways...too late now) I have been sailing as much as possible. This means that some weeks I couldn't sail at all and others I could sail a few days. Obviously it is a bit more complicated now and it is always a bit in a hurry, but everytime I hit the water, even if it was for just a quick half hour, it felt like the best session ever!

BUT, this happiness started to finish as soon as the Pozo event was getting closer. Until about 2 weeks before the event I havent even thought about the whole thing, and I was loving life as a mum and housewife! (It can sound sad to some, but far from it, I am loving life like this!).
But suddenly, everyone was asking if I was taking part, how did it feel, was I ready, etc... No, I was not ready, I wasn't even thinking about it.
Anyways, long story short: I enter the contest, and although we didnt have conditions to compete, the feeling of being in a competition was the same than before. And I  honestly cannot say that I was happy to feel it again.
When I became a mum, I felt such a happines and such a sudden feeling of relief. This was for sure the thing I really wanted to dedicate 100% of my time now. All of that pretty much disappeared these days. The contest tension came back (only on the weekend, but came back!) and it was like "Back to the Future". I didnt like it. Plus I couldnt really enjoy my time with Lily as much as I like. I felt pressure and I wasnt ready: a terrible mix. I entered the expression session. It was only jumps, and I think everyone knows I suck at jumping. So I did pretty shit. I even had a very embarrassing crash. This always brings me down loads, as I hate the feeling of everyone watching me doing this badly. So by the end, I told John: ok, that's it. I am done with this. I quit.
Now, not even 24 hours have passed, and although I still feel the pain of the embarrassment, I have mixed feelings. Now, instead of thinking that I hated it, I actually think that maybe I should try once again, and that I should prove myself. So will I do Tenerife? yesterday I would have answer straight away NO, but today, I am not so sure I don't want to give it another try.

No me gustó.
